PC System Requirements
Operating system: WINDOWS 2000/XP/VISTA/7
MAC OSX
USB Port Supported: USB 2.0 port
Connect to Windows PC
1. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the pandigital novel
mini USB port, and the larger end to an available USB port on your computer.
2. Windows Explorer opens with the list all drives connected to your computer;
the
pandigital novel drive is listed as PD_Novel.
3. To copy files into your pandigital novel, select and drag the
desired files into the appropriate pre-assigned folder based on file type.
eBooks (EPUB, PDF)
Separate cover images files:
- must be named the same as the eBook files, (for example,
myebook.pdf, myebook.jpg)
- must be copied into the eBooks>.thumbnail folder
- must not be larger than 10KB
Photos (JPG, JPEG, BMP, PNG, non-animated GIF)
Music (MP3, WAV, AAC)
Videos (MPEG4)
File names should NOT include special characters; otherwise they are not
recognized by the device.
4. To copy files from your pandigital novel into your computer, select
and drag the desired files to any desired location on your computer.

Disconnect
It is important to always perform a safe PC ‘release’ before disconnecting
the USB cable from the pandigital novel and computer.
After disconnecting the USB cable from your pandigital
novel
, the device shuts down and automatically restarts, which may
take up to 20 seconds. Please wait and allow the Home screen to be
displayed again.
Windows 7
1. On the Windows System Tray, click the hardware removal icon.
2. Click the
Eject Removable Disk message corresponding with the
pandigital novel device drive.
